Not a cloud in the sky and another terrific camp spot last
night (thankfully only 6 road trains that went through and all at once)Heading
towards Windorah and then hopefully finding a camp on the Birdsville
Developmental Road for tonight. There is
still a lot of water over the road in lots of places. Stopped at Windorah for brunch and also had a
nice shower at the roadhouse while Barry filled with fuel. At last my jacket is off and it is nice and
warm. Going to stop to have a look at
J.C. Hotel Ruins on our way through and maybe even a little explore. 85kms
from Windorah and we have stopped to take pictures of Mt.Wellington with a hole
through it and as we head off again there is a noise coming from our trailer
that doesn’t sound good. So there is Barry and Kevin on the ground taking the
wheel off to check the bearings and as suspected the bearing has gone. So it is back to Windorah for repairs and
stay the night at Coopers Cabins so it can be fixed in the morning. I am so
glad it is a really nice day or I may be a little “Grumpy”!!!!!
